Frank Austin Fowler, 52, passed away on November 3, 2000 of cancer. He was born in Richland November 22, 1947.

Frank attended Lewis and Clark Elementary School, Carmichael Junior High School and graduated with the Class of 1966 from Richland's Columbia High School. He had been employed by the University of Idaho as a Computer Systems Analyst for over 25 years. He was an avid and accomplished bridge player, competing in national and regional tournaments. Frank had a unique personality with a special love of puns, Pepsi and his Ford LTD.

Frank is survived by his brother, Jim Fowler ('72); three nephews: Andrew, Peter and Benjamin Fowler of Covington, WA; and his aunt and uncle, Cecile and Gene Fowler of Seattle.

A memorial service was held at 2pm on Tuesday, November 14, 2000, at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Moscow, ID. The interment was at 1:30pm on Wednesday, November 15, 2000, in the mausoleum at Einan's Cemetery followed by a memorial service and reception at All Saint's Episcopal Church at 2pm.

"My brother, Frank Fowler ('66), died yesterday morning of cancer (Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma). You might remember him not only as the only person to ride his bicycle to Col-High in the late sixties, but the guy who rode that same bike in to a pep assembly. He was a genuine character, and he will be missed."
